Tame Impala sounds pretty different between albums, so there’s a whole gamut from psychedelic to dream pop. As for live performances, as much as I love Tame Impala and think Kevin is an outstanding musician, I think his singing voice falls waaay short of all the other aspects that make TI amazing, and this is kind of important in a live context. Lastly, having haters is actually a sign of great success and popularity.
