May 8, 2021 · John, the Man From Earth, has scarce scenes and the plot doesn't even revolve around him. The movie is stupid, it focuses on the Christ thing so much that completely misses the point of what made it in the first one so compelling, and the actual main characters of the movie, the students, are completely retarded.

So, try warping to yellow star systems that have multiple planets/moons (at least 4 planets, I would say), so that you maximize your chance of finding a planet you like. Reply. okipos.

The movie The Man from Earth was so disappointing- I think partially because I saw it after reading a lot of hype about it. It’s a movie of a guy standing in a room telling a story to a couple of other people. Don’t get me wrong it was a good story, but there isn’t anything that really makes it a “movie” to me.

It isn't stylistically similar and the topics are more wide- reaching and disjointed than The Man From Earth, but I think this movie elicits a similar feeling of questioning what is possible. The Fountain - 3 overlapping stories with the same leads.
