The Resistance Banker (Dutch: Bankier van het Verzet) is a 2018 Dutch World War II period drama film directed by Joram Lürsen. [3] It is based on the life of banker Walraven van Hall who financed the Dutch resistance during the war. [4]
Based on a true story, this biographical drama follows the van Hall brothers, who used their family bank to finance the Dutch resistance against the Nazis. The film won four Golden Calves and was nominated for an Oscar, and features Jacob Derwig, Barry Atsma and Fockeline Ouwerkerk.
