Aug 31, 2019 · 9. One of the most common complaints about Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem is that it is way too dark to see anything. I think most viewers will attest to this. My question is why is it that way? It actually affects how the film is interpreted, so I want to know why such a mistake was made. alien-franchise.

Humans go into the Pyramid (hive) and are confronted by Aliens and Predators (zombies and hive defenses), both movies do like the exact same thing with the 3D map of the facility they're in.

Jan 22, 2022 · ParticularIll1754. •. I don't know if you've had it answered but it was dark because it was the director duos first movie and first time with a large budget to work with. They wanted to keep the predator and aliens design mysterious so they chose to have it set in poor lighting.
Oct 31, 2020 · It re-edits it to be a solo predator story. None of the horribly written human characters and is more like a detective like story of the predator tracking down the alien. This is exactly what I hoped that Requiem would have been initially! This fan edit sounds fun! Thanks for sharing!
May 30, 2016 · Erm, I actually enjoyed AvP: Requiem. It was ridiculous in exactly the kind of way lots of 80s sci-fi/action/horror was, in my opinion at least. (also I say 80s because AvP:R is far more similar to Aliens than Alien).
Jokes aside wolf was a really great Yautja but I felt the human plot was utter trash. It's like a SyFy original movie that just happens to have an Alien vs Predator plot thrown in. The 1st AVP was far better compared to requiem. It had more AVP in it than requiem. 100%. And I did give a damn about Alexa.
Sep 11, 2021 · Both of them are on HBO Max right now. I've already seen all of the Alien movies, most of the Predator movies, and AVP. (Please keep comments about the quality or content of the movie to yourself. You don't need to tell me you think the movie is not worth watching, or any other general negativity. I'm going to watch it regardless.
May 27, 2021 · By hanging up a skinned human this scares away the cowards from the area and leaves only the brave for the predator to hunt. It can also anger the humans that see them making them more likely to fight back and thus make for a better hunt. In Requiem, the predators goal is to contain a xenomorph outbreak and hide the ship wreck.
