I'm personally someone who didn't really enjoy the animation, yet powered through. "The Last Airbender" has always struck me as a bit dull. I'd rate the cartoon a 7/10 and the live-action adaptation a 6/10. Comparing them scene by scene, the cartoons dialogue was lackluster.

The last four of the third season (known as "books") are made up of a 4-part finale called Sozin's Comet. Just a heads up if it turns out the last season on netflix lists only 17 episodes. Feb 23, 2024 · The Netflix version of Katara seems content to be mostly helpful and quiet. In the original, not only are Aang and Katara drawn in by Jet's charms, but the audience as well. In the Netflix version, Aang and Sokka have both already essentially sussed out the Freedom Fighters by the time Katara begins to defend them, leaving her out to dry and appear to be the only childish and gullible one.
